Drs Roel de Graaf MBA MBI is a seasoned entrepreneur, consultant, and author with over 35 years of experience in the business world. Roel is Director Transformation Office at VGZ, a Dutch Health Insurance Company. He partners with the executive team to innovatie and transform the health market with Digital & Data. Before joining VGZ, Roel was Senior Executive Partner at Gartner and served as the Chief Data Officer (CDO) of a financial institution in the Netherlands.

Roel possesses 30 years of experience in IT, holding senior management positions in both the public and private sectors. His expertise spans the client perspective (contract out), the vendor perspective (contract in), and the consultant perspective (advice). Throughout these roles, Roel consistently excelled in aligning organizations, teams, and individuals to continuously improve business outcomes and processes, ensuring the organization's successful digital transformation.

Throughout his career, Roel has been committed to helping businesses achieve their full potential. His passion for entrepreneurship, innovation, and process improvement has made him a trusted advisor and partner for businesses seeking to optimize their operations, leverage technology, and drive growth.

Additionally, Roel is a lecturer at Nyenrode Business University in the Advanced IT Program. He is frequently invited to share his knowledge at conferences on topics such as Change, IT Strategy, and Governance. In 2021, his book titled '180 Business Hacks' was published by Boom Uitgevers Amsterdam. The rights to the book have been sold to Vahlen Verlag for the German edition (2022) and to Nicholas Brealey Publishing for the English version (2023).
